| APDL and your Apple Watch |

Are you sporting an Apple Watch or considering one? I have to admit, I was skeptical at first but when my Apple Watch arrived I was impressed! Apple really did a great job with the Apple Watch and yes, there is much room for improvement but for starters it really is fantastic. APDL integrates with the Apple Watch through its Notifications system. Make sure you have Notifications ON in the device Settings > APDL area to enjoy the integrations APDL offers. As you can see in the two examples above APDL will send legality notifications to your watch as well as gate change, aircraft change, and other important notifications as part of the FAR 117 legality equation and airline operations. Click here to view our recent knowledge base article with a file attachment you can drop into your C:\Program Files\Logbook Pro (or C:\Program Files (x86)\Logbook Pro on x64 systems). This updated manifest file will help users that do not want to disable User Account Control which at times can be set too high causing conflicts with programs such as Logbook Pro. To adjust your User Account Control (UAC) settings in Windows 10 just click the START button and type the words "User Account Control" and then click the option to adjust your settings. I personally have it off (slider to the bottom) and have had it this way since Windows Vista years ago but it's up to you on the protection you required based on your computing needs.

You can download a zip file which contains a PDF of our brochure which you can print and place in your crew room, bulletin boards, etc. We greatly appreciate your help in spreading the word about APDL. Do you find APDL of value to you as an airline pilot and want to tell others about it that may not be aware of this jewel? Did you know you can do so right within the app itself? Tap the Communication item on the menu and that will take you to the screen below. Scroll and find the area highlighted below then enter your name and email. If you are a member of the NC Software Affiliate Program enter your Affiliate ID. Now enter one or multiple email addresses, comma separated, and tap "Send APDL Info". Your friends will get an email telling them about APDL and where to learn more. If you included an Affiliate ID and they purchase within 30 days from NC Software's web site you will earn commission on their purchases and we'll send you a check every month for your earnings.
